You must update the firmware when you first connect to the Nova Cardio device. Occasionally, we push firmware updates, and you will see a notification asking you to install the update.

When you see such a notification, click the ‘Install’ button and wait for the update to finish installing. During the installation, do not turn off Bluetooth and internet connection. Keep the device next to the phone until the installation is complete.
